Yesterday, @JaneFonda was arrested for the 2nd time while participating in
the @FireDrillFriday, a weekly #Climate protest lead by #JaneFonda inspired
by @GretaThunberg‘s #ClimateStrike

The #ClimateCrisis is not an isolated issue — it involves every part of our
economy & society. Scientists are shouting an urgent warning: we have
little more than a decade to take bold, ambitious action to transition our
economy off of fossil fuels & onto clean, renewable energy. We need a Green
New Deal to mobilize our government & every sector of the economy to tackle
the overlapping crises of #ClimateChange, inequality, & structural racism
at the scale & speed, our communities require. We need & deserve a world
beyond fossil fuels, while creating millions of family-sustaining, union
jobs, & prioritizing justice & equity for working people & communities of
color on the frontlines of climate disaster & fossil fuel exploitation, so
the #CleanEnergy transformation leaves nobody behind.
