The coronavirus crisis has costs thousands of lives across the UK and around the world is putting public health institutions and government under extreme stress. The coming weeks are going to be extremely difficult.
But as we respect the lockdown, we still do not want to contribute to climate breakdown, biodiversity collapse and pollution of any kind. We cannot take to the streets when we need to remain housebound to prevent the spread of the virus.
There remain some small things we can do to continue to reduce our negative impacts on the environment to some small degree. We can also enter into discussions about the "normal" we want to return to when the crisis is over, and our political leadership want to reboot the economy.
